Hi, my name’s Natalie and I’d like to show you the world around me which is mostly based on gardening, farming and taking care of animals.

It didn’t use to be like that in the past. My biggest passion was travelling and learning languages.

Languages are still present in my life, as I’m a language teacher of English and French, that’s why my content can slightly slip into this type of interest.

I’m currently living on a farm in Portugal, or rather a land that will slowly develop into a farm, so it’s possible that some of the travels will be present as well, but only a little bit and if so, mainly in Portugal.

Back to gardening though, I think that I was slowly showing my interest in this topic in various areas, such as having compost, recycling, and reusing, as well as seeing the climate change happening around the world whilst travelling and learning about other cultures.

However, I’ve only realized that I wanted to learn more about gardening and permaculture in particular recently.

In 2018 while being in Dominica, I had a great opportunity to help on two little farms and learn more about permaculture. Let’s be honest, I wasn’t that much of a help to them as I didn’t know anything but I still enjoyed it!

The following year, starting in January, I got two little bunnies and had a little balcony garden. The balcony was filled up with plants, mostly tomatoes and peppers, and little herbs, but I could barely walk through. It was my real passion!

The same year, in September, I moved with my two fur babies to Portugal. My life wasn’t connected to agriculture at all back then and despite the painful thinking of “how to make the world a better place”, I only came back to the farm lifestyle in June 2022 when I was helping on one farm from the Workaway.

Shortly after, as things were not going particularly our way, we move to the land in the region of Castelo Branco. It’s been five months so far and still counting. Follow us on our journey and don’t miss our steps together with four bunnies, two dogs, and two ducks.
